Micro-Current Neurofeedback Therapy
“I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”
Metroplex Counseling takes seriously that humans are fearfully and wonderfully made, and as such, we adhere to the idea that God has equipped the body to heal itself. Additionally, such healing (from a biblical framework) points us to the amazing glory of God! That is why we are the very first counseling center in the Dallas/Fort Worth area to offer cutting edge technology in the form of Micro-current Neurofeedback (MCN). This is a highly recommended option for treatment for many issues our clients face. We provide this treatment through a system called IASIS (Greek word meaning “curative”.)
IASIS MCN is a naturopathic treatment for the brain that targets the parasympathetic nervous system, and is designed to disentrain the brain so that it may break out of frozen states that perpetuate maladaptive responses. IASIS is an FDA approved system that has been funded for rigorous scientific study (including a current VA Merit Study). Metroplex Counseling believes it is the mandate of the Christian to utilize God’s creation of science as a means to love others in their suffering.
IASIS MCN is a form of neurofeedback therapy that uses low intensity pulses of energy imperceptible to the person receiving treatment. This tiny pulsating current helps the brain to achieve a healthier state by retraining the brain and nervous system. “Stuck” patterns are disrupted, and the brain responds by laying down new neural pathways. Nothing more than sitting still for 20-30 minutes is required.
IASIS may impact the brain so that the following symptoms are impacted:
Traumatic Brain Injury
“We have discovered that original thought existed in God. A manifestation and embodiment of this original thinking appears to us in the created universe and to human beings a capacity has been given for reflecting on and investigating this divine thinking in a uniquely human manner…This system of human reflection constitutes science which is a unique creature of God….”
