My name is Sharon Fulcher Estes and I am a Board Certified Licensed Professional Counselor and Advanced Certified Trauma Practitioner. I received a B.S. in Psychology with a concentration in Human Services and Counseling from Liberty University and completed a dual Master’s degree program at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a M.A. in Marriage and Family Counseling and a M.A. in Religious Education. Over the last twenty years, I have had the opportunity to work in church and therapeutic settings along with community-based non-profits working with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families.

My goal is to help individuals discover their God-given purpose and strengths which leads to developing healthy relationships, attitudes and environments that flourish. It was through my own brokenness, I learned to trust and depend on the Holy Spirit for wisdom, peace and healing. Through life’s circumstances and experiences, my personal faith has increased and strengthened. And so, it is with honor, I walk alongside my clients with hope moving from brokenness and pain to peace and restoration with the wisdom, insight and power of the Holy Spirit. On the other side, there is a reflection of deeper faith, character and perseverance only He can give.

My approach to counseling is scriptural truth and the abiding grace of a loving Father. As followers of Christ, it is my belief that we have complete access to the Father through the Holy Spirit. In John 15:5, we learn growth comes through abiding. “I am the vine, you are the branches. The one who abides in me while I abide in him produces much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing.” My prayer for my clients is for them to remain and abide in Him who makes all things possible. (Luke 1:37)

I enjoy working with individuals, couples and families. My clinical experience includes working with trauma and loss, children and adolescents, stress, work-related struggles, pre-marital, marriage, parenting, anger, anxiety, depression, behavioral problems, sexual abuse, addictions and women’s issues. I am also available to lead workshops or speak at women’s conferences.

I live in Arlington with my husband, Albert and have the joy of parenting two beautiful children. My family enjoys the outdoors and we spend time fishing, kayaking, hiking, playing on the court and little league on the diamond. I love a quiet day in the mountains or sand between my toes reading a good book! Currently, I see clients in the Fort Worth and Bedford offices. The hope is to expand into the Big D (Dallas) very soon!
